Agra is one of the UP districts severely affected by new coronavirus infection. When a Covid-19 patient died at a hospital, 27 health care workers were sent to quarantine in Agra. With the count of cases infected with coronavirus reaching 169 in the district of Agra, the concern is increasing over the spread of infection across the division. A total of 27 healthcare professionals were sent to quarantine in Agra, including 21 doctors.

They had been taking care of the Covid-19 patient who died Tuesday at SN Medical College and Hospital. Samples were obtained from all 27 individuals for coronavirus research.
Agra District Magistrate Prabhu N Singh told India Today that 18 doctors from the department of medicine, one gynecologist, and two from the department of anesthesia are in the quarantine.
A senior administrative official told that the infection spread from Paras Hospital is proving hard to control. Both patients and medical staff were released from the hospital. Three days before it is transformed into a Level-1 Covid-19 facility, the facility building must be sanitised. At least 23 confirmed Covid-19 patients are linked to this hospital. Furthermore, 239 people are watched. Between them, there are 139 direct patient contacts, while another 100 are indirect contacts. Some of them come from nearby districts that were not tested at Agra. Totally 79 persons were kept in quarantine.
One individual, too, has tested positive for Covid-19 in the Shaheed Nagar area. Teams in the health department are now investigating his history of touch. Five individuals were quarantined, and their samples were submitted for processing. The locality has been sealed around the locality.
